STORY OF PROPHET SALIH (A.S) IN ISLAM

STORY OF PROPHET SALIH IN ISLAM:

About Story: Prophet Salih A.S

Prophet Saleh, occasionally written as Salih, was a assignee of the great prophet Nuh (may peace be upon him). He was transferred by Allah to the nation of Thamud who lived in Al Hijr, located in Arabia. The nation over a many generations had progressed and came veritably important, fat and influential.
The Qur’an mentions how the society grew veritably proud of their accomplishments and began erecting huge castles, palaces, and other structures as status symbol of their power. This is mentioned in Surah Ash Shura ayat 128-129

(“ Do you construct on every elevation a sign entertaining yourselves? And take for yourselves palaces and citadels that you may abide eternally?”)

They were given a chance by Allah to turn back to Him especially knowing what had happed to the people of Announcement for their defiance. The Qur’an mentions the warning from Prophet Hud who said, “ Will you not sweat Allah?” (26124). They denied these warnings as preoccupation with materialism took over. They turned down from the path of verity, the poor began worshiping the rich who placarded themselves as Gods.

Now, Prophet Saleh was a man from a veritably high standing in society. He erected a character of respect and was fat himself. The People of Thamud held him in high regard for his wisdom and virtue and were prepared to appoint him as their leader. It was during this period that Allah bestowed Saleh with Prophethood.
Prophet Saleh admonished his people, “ O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it. So ask remission of Him and also rue to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive” (1161).

Saleh continued to prompt the people to observe him and sweat and worship Allah. But they replied, “ O Saleh, you were among us a man of pledge before this. Do you prohibit us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we're in disquieting mistrustfulness about that to which you invite us.” (1162) Still, many among the poor followed and entered the pack of Islam while the maturity rebuked Saleh. Some called him a lunatic while others said he must be held.
As the days passed, the Thamud stressed that Prophet Saleh’s followers would increase in number. In an attempt to put him off, they planned to ask Saleh for a phenomenon proving that he was indeed the runner of Allah. They intended to make this phenomenon insolvable to be brought up. So the main leaders of the Thamud sat down together and brazened Saleh. They refocused at a particularly enormous gemstone and demanded Saleh to bring out from it a she camel that was extremely altitudinous, veritably woolly, seductive and ten months pregnant! They further quested that it should be suitable to produce milk for the entire city.

Saleh was hopeless to bring his people to the path of Allah. So he contended with Allah to grant him what the people had asked for. And there came the day when Saleh gathered his people to witness the incoming of the phenomenon. Allah ordered that veritably gemstone to resolve apart and from it surfaced a red, gigantic, ten month pregnant she-camel, important to the admiration and amazement of the people. It was a clear substantiation in their midst that a number of people declared their faith. Still, the vast maturity remained untouched and pursued their unbelief, stating this was nothing but pure magic.

( side note Some stories believe the camel didn't have a miraculous birth or disagreement that it came from a gemstone, the Qur’an simply countries, “ O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah – (she is) to you a sign. So let her feed upon Allah ‘s earth and don't touch her with detriment, or you'll be taken by an impending discipline.”)

The she-camel was indeed a living phenomenon that every passing day people converted to Islam. The doubters couldn't bear this. Ultimately their abomination for Saleh was diverted towards the she-camel. Saleh stressed that the doubters would conspire against the she-camel and advised them, “ O my people! This she camel of Allah is a sign to you, leave her to feed on Allah’s earth, and touch her not with evil lest a near torment will seize you.” The Thamud originally allowed the she-camel to graze on their land and drink freely from the common well but this was short-lived.

It was n’t long before Thamud came displeased, the religionists plant their faith adding while the doubters’ abomination boosted to a degree where they began conniving to kill the she camel.
With the support of all the doubters in city, nine men set out aiming to kill the she-camel. They watched her nearly. As she approached to drink from the well one of the men shot her in the leg, thereby hindering her from escape. The others incontinently sprang forward and put a brand through her body, killing her.

The townspeople saw this as a clear palm and cheered loudly for the men. They went on to bloodbath the she-camel and eat her meat. When Saleh heard of this he hastened to advise the people, but it was too late. The people mocked him saying, “ O Saleh, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the couriers.” Saleh replied, “ Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That's a pledge that won't be denied.” (1165)

The doubters teased Saleh and asked him to quicken the discipline. Prophet Saleh said “ O my people, why are you intolerant for evil rather of good? Why do you not seek remission of Allah that you may admit mercy?” The people paid no heed. They were only rankled and began conniving to kill Prophet Saleh. The nine men gathered together and bandied, “ Take a collective pledge by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Also we will say to his factor, 'We didn't witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we're veracious.” (2749)

Meanwhile Allah had a plan for the people of Thamud, “ And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not” (2750) so he instructed Saleh to gather his followers and leave city. The people were only too happy to be relieve of him. They were untroubled by Saleh’s warning. The Thamud held excellent artificer that they had sculpted their houses out of the thick gemstone of the mountains. This made them feel secure. They believed their gemstone citadels would cover them from all disasters.

Three days after Salih’s warning, thunderbolts filled the air, followed by severe earthquakes which destroyed the entire lineage and its motherland. The land was violently shaken, destroying all living brutes in it. There was one atrocious cry which had hardly ended when the disbelievers of Salih’s people were struck dead, one and all, at the same time. Neither their strong structures nor their gemstone hewn homes could cover them.

The doubters of Thamud had no supporter that day. They had incurred the wrath of Allah which caused them to be destroyed before they realized what was passing.
Meanwhile, Prophet Saleh and the religionists were saved by Allah’s grace. He returned to Al Hijr one day to substantiation the destruction of his people and said with a heavy heart, “ O my people, I had clearly conveyed to you the communication of my Lord and advised you, but you don't like counsels.” Prophet Saleh also migrated to Palestine, where he lived until his death.
